New data from the Miami Association of Realtors shows that pending sales for residential Miami real estate rose in Miami-Dade County this month. Pending sales on Miami homes and condos in Miami Dade are at present at 10,698, up 28 percent from last year and 2.5 percent from last month. Broward has 7,770 pending sales which is 4 percent above last one year and 2.6 percent more than last month. There were more pending sales for condos in Miami then for Miami homes, with pending condo sales up 37.2 percent, year-over-year. Pending sales for condos in Broward County were up 8.1 percent from last year. Pending sales for Miami homes rose 15.5 percent year-over-year and in Broward they declined by 0.4 percent.
Jack Levine, chairman of the board of MAR, said in a statement: "Over the last few months, we have seen pending and closed sales gain momentum while inventory levels continue to drop. This trend in rising sales, particularly for condominiums, coupled with significant reductions in housing inventory, is a very positive sign for the local market."
