Miapolis "Super Tower"

Miapolis "Super Tower" could be the World's Tallest LEED Eco-Building

Reaching 975 meters above the Miami coastline on Watson Island, Miapolis, the proposed "super tower" designed by KOBI KARP will utilize the latest sustainable building and green maintenance practices available. This "city within a city" contains millions of square feet of offices, hotels, shops and apartments. Not only would it surpass Dubai's Burj Khalifa as the tallest building in the world, but also Miapolis has been designed with ecologically minded features that would make it the highest rated LEED-certified green residential/commercial center in the U.S.

Miapolis will utilize wind energy for up to 60% of the building's power demands. Additional energy saving devices include a modular green roof for insulation, an electric trolley system for inter-building transportation and an in-house water desalinization plant. Carbon offsets and sequestration issues will be addressed in the overall building maintenance, as well as ecological management of solid waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
