NORTH MIAMI BEACH
Known to locals as NMB, North Miami Beach Florida has grown
in popularity as businesses and people have been flocking to its'
first class restaurants, shops and restaurants to get away from
hectic, and overcrowded South Miami Beach. Back in 1938 the
population ranked at 2,129 and now in 2007 NMB is home to over
40,000 people. North Miami Beach is home to the renowned
Bal Harbour and the Bal Harbour Shops.From Haulover Beach to
Hollywood Beach, there is always something to do in North Miami
Beach.
THE OLETA RIVER STATE PARK is the largest urban park in the Florida
State Park system. The park is located on 1043 acres
(4.2 km²) - 993 acres (4.0 km²) of land and 50 acres (0.2 km²) of
inland water - on Biscayne Bay, in the northeastern end of the
city of North Miami in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and adjoins the
Biscayne Bay Campus of Florida International University. In some
documents, the park is designated as the Oleta River State
Recreation Area. The park contains one of the largest
concentrations of Australian Pine trees (an invasive species) found
in a Florida State Park.
SUNNY ISLES BEACH is a small community located on a barrier island
in Miami-Dade County, between North Miami Beach and Miami
Beach along Hwy A1A. It is part of the Miami, Florida metro area and
is a new city, having been incorporated in June, 1997. With two and
a half miles of soft, white sand beach, Sunny Isles Beach is host to
almost one million visitors annually. There are five beautiful parks
located at Sunny Isles Beach for both residents and visitors to enjoy.
HOLLYWOOD According to the United States Census Bureau, the city
has a total area of 30.8 square miles (80 km²). 27.34 square miles
(71 km²) of it is land and 3.46 square miles (9 km²) of it is water (11.23%).
Hollywood is located in southeastern Broward County, and includes
about 5-6 miles of Atlantic Ocean beach, interrupted briefly by a
portion deeded to Dania Beach.
PALM BEACH COUNTY As of 2007, the county had a population of
1,351,236 according to the University of Florida, Bureau of Economic
and Business Research. The county is the third most populous in
the state of Florida and the twenty ninth most populous in the
United States. The county's population is over 40% unincorporated.
